Just wanted to address the elephant in the room, in case you saw the announcement from BODi (formerly Beachbody) and are wondering… “so what’s next?!”
First, and foremost, I’m not going anywhere! You know fitness is my jam and I’d be totally lost (and an even bigger bundle of emotions) without it. Elle Woods said it best… “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy!” I discovered Power90 with Tony Horton back in 2007 when I was going through an incredibly difficult season in my life. Though I didn’t become a Coach until 7 years later, I’ve loved encouraging others to connect to health and fitness in a way that works for them. And while I’ve been struggling with my own journey more these last few years than ever before (yay 40s), I still firmly believe in what this company has to offer in terms of fitness, nutrition, and support.
In case you missed it… BODi recently announced that it will no longer follow the multi-level marketing (MLM) model, and instead move to affiliates. If you’ve been a part of this journey with me for whatever part of the 10.5 years I’ve been a Coach/Partner, you already know I always found the business model “icky.” I was never in this for the money or incentives, though they were a nice perk at times, but I always felt pushed in a direction I didn’t fully believe in. I truly wanted, and still want, to help people feel better about themselves and have the support they need alongside products proven to work. That has never changed, even with the direction the company has shifted over the years, and never will.
So, what does this all mean?!
I don’t have all the info yet, but will share it as it comes. I will answer any questions in the meantime to the best of my ability, as well. I’m learning all of this right along with you, and am eager to see how this transition affects us all. I’ll still be running groups, doing our programs (both tried & true and newer releases), having my daily dose of dense nutrition and boost of energy, and helping you find what works best for you, your budget, and your lifestyle. Things just may look a little different moving forward.
To everyone who has been there for the good, the bad, and the ugly, as I transitioned from Coach, to Partner, and now the unknown… I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and trust and love. I’m so grateful that this company brought me to 1000s of people that I wouldn’t have met or interacted with otherwise, and I’m a better person for it. To whatever’s next …
