So I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about Beachbody products, coaching, & Shakeology and thought I’d answer them in a public forum in hopes of helping spread the knowledge and qualm some misconceptions.
Q1. Do you have to buy the challenge pack in order to get the program? I can’t really afford that…
A1. No! But unfortunately Shakeology never goes on sale, and yes it is expensive because it’s made of amazing whole foods and deliciousness. The challenge pack allows you to get the program and a month’s supply of Shakeology bundled for a lower price. But every product Beachbody offers is available without Shakeology and would obviously be at a cheaper cost. Just ask!
Q2. What is expected of me if I decide to become a Beachbody coach?
A2. In all honesty, nothing! There is no quota to meet or expectations to uphold, rather than the monthly coach fee to run the three websites you have at your disposal and staying active. You don’t ever have to sell a thing to anyone. There are many coaches in it for just the discount, which is totally fine. But if you WANT to support others, it can be extremely fulfilling both emotionally, physically, and financially.
Q3. I tried Shakeology once and it was disgusting. I can’t choke it down, but I’ve heard/know how it is so good for me. How can I make it work besides plugging my nose?
A3. The regular Shakeology formula is primarily whey protein, which has a distinct texture and smell if you aren’t experienced with whey. For some it’s unpleasant…for many of us, we’re already used to it haha. I’ve been drinking whey protein in some form or another since 2006, long before Shakeology even existed. It took some getting used to even then. The Vegan formulas of Shakeology are pea protein-based and are considerably smoother and don’t have the same after-taste that some complain about with the regular formulas. And if you haven’t tried any Shakeology in awhile…I ask you to reconsider. They have changed their formulas immensely since release and I believe they are all much better now.
Q4. Do I have to follow the program and nutrition guide I choose to a T in order to lose weight and get healthy?
A4. You should try to stick to the workout schedule and guide that came with your program as much as possible to see the best results. Of course there will be days when you can’t get your workout in, or can’t always make the healthiest decisions. Will this mean you won’t see ANY results? Of course not. Will it affect the process? Of course, but how much it does depends on how much you stray. The best results will come from your dedication. Be careful when picking your program…if you can’t handle working out for an hour or more, don’t pick a program that expects that because you’ll just be setting yourself up for failure. Your coach can help you find your “soulmate workout.”
Q5. What is it that Beachbody and Shakeology can offer me that (Herbalife, Advocare, Vega, It Works, SlimQuick, my gym, other supplements, etc.) can’t?
A5. I don’t know about all of those, but I do know that using Beachbody products and Shakeology have helped me lose 37 pounds and over 28 inches in 5 months while eating lots of delicious, healthy, WHOLE foods, and being active for at least 5 days a week. I didn’t have to buy anything extra beyond my original challenge pack, repeat any daily/weekly/monthly regimens, take any pills, replace any meals, eat less (in fact it was WAY MORE…some days too much), give up foods/beverages I love, or work out for more than 30 minutes (unless I wanted to). I get to wear whatever I want and look however I want, because I’m in the comfort of my own home. There’s no one around to judge me except my pets and husband haha. I can blow a fan directly in my face or crank my A/C, and not worry about the smell of anyone’s sweat but my own. I have the support of a coach and her team, my own team, challenge groups, Team Beachbody SuperGym which has hundreds of people working out at any given time a day for support, and lots of other tools that keep me motivated. I know they are all people going through the same struggle as me and we’re all in this together.
I’m sure I’ll be adding to this as time goes along. If you have any additional questions, comment below and I’ll be sure to give a candid, honest answer ^_^
